Mercer House Golden Glow - original painting
So much greenery and Spanish Moss packed into one little artwork! It's (probably) impossible to visit Savannah, Georgia and not be captivated by the beautiful architecture and nature, and I painted this image to capture one such scene. One of Savannah’s most famous historic house museums is the Mercer House, on Monterey Square. The home, constructed from 1860-68, was a key setting in John Berendt’s best-selling book “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” in 1993.
