"Fancy Flight" Raku Bottle - Handbuilt & Wheel Thrown - Turquoise & Red w/Leather, Coin & Feather embellishment - Raku remains porous & fragile - Fired in an outdoor gas kiln to 1800 degrees - removed from the kiln & placed in a container w/newspaper & leaves - the container is covered & the piece is left to smoke approx. 20 minutes - the pottery is removed from the container & set aside to cool - once cool the piece is lightly scrubbed w/a mild abrasive & it is ready to be enjoyed
