Voyager

Voyager is influenced by British fashion designer Richard Quinn’s Fall 2019 collection. The use of psychedelic colors and geometric shapes was inspired by Retro futuristic and surrealistic art. Kay Sage`s The Seven Sleepers (1898 -1963) is the initial thought for this composition. Sage`s use of fluid architectural shape in contrast of symmetrical building along with shadow application contributed to Voyager's background, which is interpreted in two dimensional flat style. There is an intention for the movement of time. Perhaps a clash between highly decorative textile and a sense of solitude from Sage`s The Seven Sleepers.
