Macrame

I have been a member of Gallery 209 since 1977 and have participated in many art shows and galleries along the east coast. My work has received several awards including "best in show" and "most creative".  I have also taught in the fine arts program at Armstrong State University.
My macramé jewelry is best described as jewelry from nature incorporating the bounty of the earth and sea in creating necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Being entirely self-taught has enabled me to create unusual and one-of-a-kind unique designs. Seashells, semi-precious gemstones, crystals, freshwater pearls and mother-of-pearl are a sampling of materials artfully mingled with hand-woven strong natural Irish linen fiber waxed to enable form and create jewelry of simple elegance.artfully mingled with hand-woven Irish waxed linen. The simplicity of design compliments the natural beauty of the materials.
