Joshua Hill

For over 25 years, Joshua Hill has worked as a faux painter and muralist, developing a deep understanding of color and light. His years working with house paint led him to transform leftover paint from his projects into fine art.

This inspired FOLK IMPRESSIONISM, Joshua’s unique style using leftover house paint and palette knives. Influenced by the Impressionists’ pursuit of capturing light and color in the moment, his work combines spontaneity, movement, and emotion.

“I’m trying to capture light and color ‘in the moment’ as Monet did, and the emotion is inspired by the subject as Van Gogh did. FOLK IMPRESSIONISM is my best voice to share how I see the world.”
