The Magnolia is one of the many species of Magnolia trees that can be found in Savannah. The grand white flowers are often seen as being a true southern lifestyle classic. These stunning trees are most often found blooming through the summer months, leaving the dark greenery to be enjoyed once the flowering season has passed. The Magnolia flower is seen as symbolizing not only sweetness and innocence but also power and pride; hence the term “Steel Magnolia.”
The Magnolia Flower Graphite drawing began its life as a quick sketch by Erica in her sketchbook. The sketch was then transferred and hand drawn in graphite on hot press watercolor paper. This original illustration was cut into an oval shape approximately 8" high and displayed in a 11x14" Glass Float Frame.
